Early goals doom Seattle Totems, falls to Salt Lake City Moose, 9-0

Seattle Totems fell behind early, and Salt Lake City Moose kept piling on the points on the way to a 9-0 victory.

Salt Lake City Moose got the win behind a great game by Pat Dwyer, who had two goals and one assist. Dwyer scored the first of his two goals at 1:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Salt Lake City Moose. Bryan Giorgi picked up the assist. Dwyer's next tally made the score 5-0 Salt Lake City Moose with 17:53 left in the second period. Giorgi provided the assist.

Salt Lake City Moose forced Seattle Totems' netminders to work in net, finishing with 40 shots and forcing 31 saves. Cody Stien made 21 stops and Eli Alyakin made 10. Salt Lake City Moose excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Salt Lake City Moose's defense was surprisingly good. Salt Lake City Moose allows 2.9 goals per game. Salt Lake City Moose surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Salt Lake City Moose averages 4.8 goals per game.
