Behind a great game by Martin Hallin, who had one goal and two assists, Ogden Mustangs defeated Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 10-1. Hallin got on the board by slotting home a goal 9:18 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Ogden Mustangs. Jimmy Peplinski picked up the assist. Hallin dished an assist on Craig Moore's goal that made the score 7-1 Ogden Mustangs at 3:44 into the third period. He added another helper on Tommy Pokorney's goal that made the score 10-1 Ogden Mustangs at 10:51 into the third period.Ogden Mustangs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Tulsa Jr. Oilers to score on any of its five power plays. Ogden Mustangs forced Tulsa Jr. Oilers goalie Teke Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Ogden Mustangs surpassed its usual scoring output this season.
