El Paso Rhinos squeaks by Dallas Ice Jets, 5-4

The game between El Paso Rhinos and Dallas Ice Jets was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end El Paso Rhinos emerged with a 5-4 win.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Chad Cesarz's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

El Paso Rhinos pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

El Paso Rhinos was led by Cesarz, who registered one goal and one assist. Cesarz scored 5:00 into the third period to make the score 5-4 El Paso Rhinos. Andrew Bradford picked up the assist.

El Paso Rhinos excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. El Paso Rhinos forced Dallas Ice Jets goalie Tyler Hough to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

El Paso Rhinos also got points from Nick Plesa, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matthew Plesa, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for El Paso Rhinos included David Nelson and Jack Strusz, who scored one goal each. In addition, El Paso Rhinos received assists from Chris Wilhite, who had one and Peter Plesa, who had two.

Dallas Ice Jets was helped by Alex Criswell, who had one goal. Criswell scored 16:06 into the second period to make the score 4-4. Brett Howard provided the assist. Dallas Ice Jets also had goals scored by Nick Felan, Ondrej Valo, and Luke Simon, who each put in one. More assists for Dallas Ice Jets came via Scott Folden, Chris Schutz, Spencer Roth, Yannick Aube, and Ryan Cutter, who each chipped in one.

Adam Vay recorded 25 saves for El Paso Rhinos. El Paso Rhinos registered one goal on one power play opportunities. Tyler Hough made 28 saves for Dallas Ice Jets on 33 shots. Dallas Ice Jets incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
