Ontario Avalanche downs Arizona Redhawks in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Ontario Avalanche pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over Arizona Redhawks on a clutch goal by Antoine Maillard.

Ontario Avalanche overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Ontario Avalanche fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Arizona Redhawks' Oscar Hagborg Olsson at 6:15 in the second period. Ontario Avalanche tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Travis Cornwell at 14:33 in the third period.

Ontario Avalanche was led by Maillard, who had one goal. Maillard scored 4:48 into overtime to make the score 4-3 Ontario Avalanche. Jackson Giammona provided the assist.

Ontario Avalanche's offense rang up 46 shots on Arizona Redhawks' net.

Ontario Avalanche also got points from Luke Rendino, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Ontario Avalanche included Kevin Leuenberger and Michael Thomas, who scored one goal each. More assists for Ontario Avalanche came via Brett Norman, who had two and Basil Reynolds, Ben Meadows, Alexander Roihjert, and Collin Warner, who each chipped in one.

Arizona Redhawks kept Ontario Avalanche's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Cepila made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Arizona Redhawks also got a goal from Anton Melin as well. In addition, Arizona Redhawks received assists from Lucas Dickison, William Wallin, David Hornak, and Mattias Marten, who contributed one a piece.

Ontario Avalanche totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play. David Deadman rejected 42 shots on goal for Arizona Redhawks. Arizona Redhawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
