Seattle Totems falls to Fresno Monsters in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Fresno Monsters pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over Seattle Totems on a clutch goal by Evan Ingram.

Justin Plate had one goal and two assists to lead Fresno Monsters. Plate scored 8:50 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Fresno Monsters. Gunnar Dircks picked up the assist.

Fresno Monsters put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Seattle Totems to score on any of its four power plays. Fresno Monsters' offense rang up 62 shots on Seattle Totems' net.

Fresno Monsters also got points from Dan Fitzgerald, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Austin Browning, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Fresno Monsters also got a goal from Jordan Fontaine as well. More assists for Fresno Monsters came via Mark Shroyer, Filip Winkler, and Mike Nolan, who contributed one a piece.

Seattle Totems' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Fresno Monsters power plays.

Seattle Totems was helped by Piers LaFrance, who racked up one goal. LaFrance scored 2:38 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Fresno Monsters. Marcus Triezenberg provided the assist. Seattle Totems additionally got points from Robin Bjoernstad, who also had one goal and one assist and Frank Flight, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Sergey Kuznetsov also scored for Seattle Totems. Other players who recorded assists for Seattle Totems were Kasey Walker, who had three and Nikolay Mamadzhanov and Trent Lloyd, who each chipped in one.

Matthew Soldano made 16 saves for Fresno Monsters on 20 shots. Fresno Monsters incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Eli Alyakin rejected 57 shots on goal for Seattle Totems. Seattle Totems incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
