Richardson's big game bests Tulsa Jr. Oilers in 4-1 Colorado Eagles win

Colorado Eagles' Corey Richardson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 4-1 win over Tulsa Jr. Oilers.

Richardson got on the board by slotting home a goal 19:27 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Colorado Eagles. Jackson Wallis picked up the assist. Richardson dished an assist on Kyle Arenson's goal that made the score 1-1 at 9:01 into the second period. He added another helper on Levi Weber's goal that made the score 3-1 Colorado Eagles at 1:22 into the third period.

Colorado Eagles' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Tulsa Jr. Oilers power plays. Colorado Eagles' offense rang up 50 shots on Tulsa Jr. Oilers' net. The defensemen of Colorado Eagles were also effective in Tulsa Jr. Oilers' zone, and came away with two goals.

Colorado Eagles also got points from Arenson, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Tanner Ulland, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Eagles were Tyrel Charlton and Nick Davidson, who each chipped in one.

Tulsa Jr. Oilers was led by Ricky Green, who scored the team's only goal. Green scored 19:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Sam Hiserodt provided the assist.

Tage Rustgi rejected 17 shots on goal for Colorado Eagles. Colorado Eagles totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Eric Messer recorded 46 saves for Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Tulsa Jr. Oilers ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
