Ogden Mustangs beats Seattle Totems 5-1 as Teodorsson gets hat trick

Simon Teodorsson netted a hat trick to lead Ogden Mustangs over Seattle Totems, 5-1.

Teodorsson got on the scoresheet 11:51 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:30 into the third and at 17:15 into the third.

Ogden Mustangs forced Seattle Totems goalie Bryce Fink to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots.

Ogden Mustangs also got points from Jimmy Peplinski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Sean Haltam also scored for Ogden Mustangs. Other players who recorded assists for Ogden Mustangs were Brody Decker, who had three and George Babos, Cam Russell, Sven Johnson, and Martin Hallin, who each chipped in one.

Seattle Totems was led by Nikolay Mamadzhanov, who scored the team's only goal. Mamadzhanov scored on the power play 3:15 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ogden Mustangs. Seattle Totems earned a power play opportunity when Seth Giles was put in the box for head contact. Frank Flight picked up the assist.

Ogden Mustangs' starting goalie, Connor Webb, made 13 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Niall Quinn, who stopped 14 shots. Ogden Mustangs totaled 46 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Seattle Totems' Fink stopped 45 shots out of the 50 that he faced. Seattle Totems incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
