Cheyenne Stampede outlasts Boulder Bison, 4-3

Cheyenne Stampede gutted out a close 4-3 win against Boulder Bison.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Russell Armbruster secured the win for Cheyenne Stampede with a goal in the third period.

Jimmie Kotilainen was all over the ice for Cheyenne Stampede, as he racked up two goals in the win. Kotilainen's tallies came at 12:45 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and 16:24 into the second to make the score 3-3.

Cheyenne Stampede's offense rang up 41 shots on Boulder Bison's net.

Cheyenne Stampede also got a goal from Ian Teal as well. In addition, Cheyenne Stampede received assists from Alexander Andersson, Maans Gustavsson, and Thayne Trumbull, who each chipped in one.

Boulder Bison was helped by Chance Creger, who grabbed one goal. Creger scored on the power play 6:11 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Boulder Bison had taken the advantage when Cheyenne Stampede's Andersson got sent off for slashing. Hunter Behrens picked up the assist. Others who scored for Boulder Bison included Walker Harris and Seth Ensor, who each put in one. More assists for Boulder Bison came via Greg Sodbinow and Karl Norris, who contributed one a piece.

Rasmus Hansson recorded 22 saves for Cheyenne Stampede. Cheyenne Stampede incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brandon Yinger made 37 saves for Boulder Bison on 41 shots. Boulder Bison incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
