Arizona Redhawks rolls over New Mexico Renegades, 8-4

Arizona Redhawks had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-4 win over New Mexico Renegades.

Arizona Redhawks kept New Mexico Renegades' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brendan Hanser made 39 saves on 47 shots. Arizona Redhawks surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Arizona Redhawks has scored at the pace of 3.8 goals per game during the current campaign.

Arizona Redhawks was helped by Chance Taylor, who registered two goals. Taylor scored the first of his two goals short handed at 10:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Arizona Redhawks. Arizona Redhawks found itself down a man on Mitchell Tulk's unsportsmanlike conduct. Taylor's next tally short handed made the score 3-1 Arizona Redhawks with 5:51 left in the first period. Arizona Redhawks also got points from Mitch Cobby, who also finished with one goal and three assists and Oscar Hagborg Olsson, who also grabbed two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Arizona Redhawks also had goals scored by Anton Melin, Mattias Marten, and Denis Babin, who each put in one. More assists for Arizona Redhawks came via Charles Alexander and William Wallin, who each chipped in one.

New Mexico Renegades bested its season scoring average. This season, New Mexico Renegades averages 1.2 goal per contest.

New Mexico Renegades was helped by Tre Dolezel, who tallied one goal. Dolezel scored 17:38 into the second period to make the score 6-4 Arizona Redhawks. Connor Rickabus picked up the assist. Others who scored for New Mexico Renegades included Damond Brokke, Rasmus Alamaa, and Zach Comfort, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for New Mexico Renegades were Max Legere, who had one.
