Ontario Avalanche wins tough contest against Valencia Flyers, 4-3

Ontario Avalanche and Valencia Flyers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Ontario Avalanche made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Joe Cangelosi secured the win for Ontario Avalanche with a goal in the third period.

Brett Norman had a great game for Ontario Avalanche, netting two goals. Norman's tallies came on the power play at 6:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ontario Avalanche and on the power play 4:53 into the second to make the score 3-1 Ontario Avalanche.

Ontario Avalanche's penalty kill excelled, as Ontario Avalanche gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Michael Thomas also scored for Ontario Avalanche. Other players who recorded assists for Ontario Avalanche were Zechariah Roberts, who had two, Antoine Maillard, who had three, and Kevin Leuenberger, Lubomir Fetkovic, and Adam Plonski, who contributed one a piece.

Valencia Flyers kept Ontario Avalanche's goalie busy throughout the game, and Chris Skeates made 36 saves on 39 shots.

Valencia Flyers was helped by Luc Whyte, who racked up one goal. Whyte scored 12:23 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Chase Thesman provided the assist. Valencia Flyers additionally got points from Sam Basich, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Valencia Flyers also got a goal from Austin Ehrlich as well. More assists for Valencia Flyers came via Niklas Giers and Zach Paxman, who each chipped in one.

Ontario Avalanche incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Mark Becica made 24 saves for Valencia Flyers on 28 shots. Valencia Flyers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
