Salt Lake City Moose outlasts Ogden Mustangs, 5-4

The game between Salt Lake City Moose and Ogden Mustangs was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Salt Lake City Moose emerged with a 5-4 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Brett Meyer at 9:11 of the third period.

In the losing effort, Ogden Mustangs was paced by Seth Giles, who registered two goals. Giles scored the first of his two goals at 5:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ogden Mustangs. Tommy Pokorney picked up the assist. Giles' next tally made the score 3-3 with 5:28 left in the second period. Dusty Watt provided the assist.

Salt Lake City Moose was led by Meyer, who registered one goal and one assist.

Salt Lake City Moose made Ogden Mustangs' goaltenders to work in net, firing 49 shots and forcing 44 saves. Tyler Fallica made 19 stops and Connor Webb made 25.

Salt Lake City Moose also got points from Dan Veselovsky, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Salt Lake City Moose included Viktors Ponatovskis, Cole Corson, and Mike Geyer, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Salt Lake City Moose were Alex Pommerville, Cody Rogala, Jurijs Moiseicenko, and Hank Parra, who contributed one a piece.

Ogden Mustangs' offense rang up 39 shots on Salt Lake City Moose's net.

Ogden Mustangs also had goals scored by Jimmy Peplinski and Brody Decker, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ogden Mustangs received assists from George Babos, Charlie Reed, Jon Mencer, and Sean Haltam, who each chipped in one.

Ryan Gasparovic recorded 35 saves for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Ogden Mustangs incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
