Lake Tahoe Blue rolls over Ontario Avalanche, 6-2

Lake Tahoe Blue had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Ontario Avalanche.

Branislav Kost had one goal and three assists to lead Lake Tahoe Blue. Kost scored 6:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lake Tahoe Blue. Matt Broman picked up the assist.

Lake Tahoe Blue pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

Lake Tahoe Blue's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Ontario Avalanche power plays. Lake Tahoe Blue's offense rang up 49 shots on Ontario Avalanche's net.

Lake Tahoe Blue also got points from Martin Vachal, who also registered three goals and one assist. Others who scored for Lake Tahoe Blue included Tom Doverhjelm and Jack Norling, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lake Tahoe Blue were Edgars Homjakovs, who had one and Mattia Bortolotto and Nick Anderson, who each chipped in two.

Ontario Avalanche was held below its usual level of production. Ontario Avalanche puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. Ontario Avalanche kept Lake Tahoe Blue's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jakub Novotny made 37 saves on 39 shots.

Ontario Avalanche was helped by Antoine Maillard, who racked up one goal. Maillard scored 17:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Michael Thomas assisted on the tally. Ontario Avalanche also got a goal from Lubomir Fetkovic as well. In addition, Ontario Avalanche received assists from Ben Meadows, Luke Rendino, and Joe Cangelosi, who contributed one a piece.

Lake Tahoe Blue registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Lake Tahoe Blue ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Norling was ejected from the game. Ontario Avalanche's Chris Skeates stopped 43 shots out of the 49 that he faced. Ontario Avalanche incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Ontario Avalanche, Wyatt Kurita-Wilson was ejected from the game.
