Boulder Bison survives Dallas Ice Jets comeback, wins 4-3

Dallas Ice Jets tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Boulder Bison held on for a 4-3 victory.

Boulder Bison made the score 4-2 on a goal by Seth Ensor at 19:38 in the second period, and Dallas Ice Jets got as close as 4-3 when Scott Folden scored 19 seconds into the third period.

Boulder Bison was sparked by Ensor, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

Boulder Bison excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Boulder Bison additionally got points from Kevin Behrens, who also had one goal and one assist and Hunter Behrens, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Ryan Fitzgerald also scored for Boulder Bison. Other players who recorded assists for Boulder Bison were Charles Joly and Casey Riccatone, who each chipped in one.

Dallas Ice Jets forced Boulder Bison goalie Colin Champine to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Dallas Ice Jets also got a goal from Johnny Henson as well. In addition, Dallas Ice Jets received assists from Spencer Roth, Yannick Aube, and Dmitry Kuznetsov, who contributed one a piece.

Champine recorded 34 saves for Boulder Bison. Boulder Bison incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Dallas Ice Jets' Tyler Hough stopped 15 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Dallas Ice Jets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
