Southern Oregon Spartans boosted by Dvorak's play in net, beats Missoula Maulers 4-1

Ian Dvorak had a standout game with 32 saves, and Southern Oregon Spartans beat Missoula Maulers 4-1.

Tyler Spencer had two goals to lead Southern Oregon Spartans to victory. Spencer's tallies came at 14:02 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Southern Oregon Spartans and on the power play 18:02 into the third to make the score 4-1 Southern Oregon Spartans.

Southern Oregon Spartans stifled Missoula Maulers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Southern Oregon Spartans forced Missoula Maulers goalie Sebastian Gronborg to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Southern Oregon Spartans also got points from Arturs Buss, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jason Henry also scored for Southern Oregon Spartans. Other players who recorded assists for Southern Oregon Spartans were Austin Sartorius, who had two and Ben Henry, Taylor McConnell, Cy Jenson, and Justus Saldeen, who contributed one a piece.

Southern Oregon Spartans was unable to stop Missoula Maulers from sending pucks towards the net, and Missoula Maulers eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Missoula Maulers was led by Corey Schafer, who scored the team's only goal. Schafer scored 35 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Zandhuisen assisted on the tally.

Southern Oregon Spartans incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Missoula Maulers' Gronborg stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Missoula Maulers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
