El Paso Rhinos rolls over Texas, 7-0

El Paso Rhinos had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over Texas.

El Paso Rhinos got the win behind a great game by Trey Hughes, who had one goal and two assists. Hughes scored short handed 2:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 El Paso Rhinos. El Paso Rhinos played down a man on Chad Cesarz's interference. Jack Strusz provided the assist.

Texas' power play was ineffective against El Paso Rhinos' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

El Paso Rhinos' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Texas power plays. El Paso Rhinos' offense rang up 45 shots on Texas' net. El Paso Rhinos could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.
