Behind a great game by Scott Folden, who had two goals and two assists, Dallas Ice Jets defeated Boulder Bison, 4-1.

Dallas Ice Jets' Tyler Hough was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Hough certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.06 entering the contest.

The Dallas Ice Jets penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. Dallas Ice Jets surpassed its season average of 25.0 penalty minutes per game. Dallas Ice Jets put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Boulder Bison to score on any of its eight power plays. Dallas Ice Jets forced Boulder Bison goalie Colin Champine to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Dallas Ice Jets also got points from Ondrej Valo, who also grabbed one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Yannick Aube, who also racked up one goal and two assists. In addition, Dallas Ice Jets received assists from Chris Schutz, who had one.

Boulder Bison racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. Boulder Bison had been averaging 19.0 minutes in penalties per game. Boulder Bison's offense operated below it season average. Boulder Bison averages 4.3 goals per game.

Boulder Bison was led by Charles Joly, who scored the team's only goal. Joly scored 4:38 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Seth Ensor assisted on the tally.

Dallas Ice Jets registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Champine rejected 32 shots on goal for Boulder Bison. For Boulder Bison, Chance Creger was ejected from the game.
