Long Beach Bombers tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Fresno Monsters would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Fresno Monsters made the score 4-1 on a goal by Mike Nolan at 3:36 in the third period, and Long Beach Bombers got as close as 4-3 when Johan Beatty scored 8:18 into the third period. Nolan was all over the ice for Fresno Monsters, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 2:34 into the third period.
