Lake Tahoe Blue holds on for 2-1 win against San Diego Gulls

San Diego Gulls tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Lake Tahoe Blue would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1.

Lake Tahoe Blue took a 2-0 lead during the second period, only to have San Diego Gulls storm back on a Will Parker goal 6:20 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Lake Tahoe Blue was paced by Mark DeVaughn, who registered one goal. DeVaughn scored on the power play 10:28 into the second period to make the score Lake Tahoe Blue. A tripping penalty on Austin Millard had put Lake Tahoe Blue on the power play. Kyle Blondin assisted on the tally.

Lake Tahoe Blue excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Lake Tahoe Blue could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Lake Tahoe Blue puts an average of 4.5 pucks into the net per game.
