Salt Lake City Moose came close to giving away a five-goal lead to Southern Oregon Spartans, but did just enough to escape with a 7-5 victory. Salt Lake City Moose led by five goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Salt Lake City Moose's Tyler Keturi's scored on the power play at 2:44 in the second period to put Salt Lake City Moose up 6-1. Adam Kresl had two goals to lead Salt Lake City Moose to victory. Kresl found the back of the net 6:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Salt Lake City Moose and again while on the power play 10:38 into the first to make the score 3-1 Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose made Southern Oregon Spartans' netminders to work in net, taking 38 shots and forcing 31 saves. Ian Dvorak made 27 stops and Jiri Ponikelsky made four. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Salt Lake City Moose additionally got points from Tommy Breitfuss, who also registered one goal and one assist and Keturi, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
