Ontario Avalanche squeaks by Valencia Flyers, 7-5

The game between Ontario Avalanche and Valencia Flyers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Ontario Avalanche emerged with a 7-5 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Zechariah Roberts at 18:06 of the third period.

Roberts was all over the ice for Ontario Avalanche, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Roberts scored the first of his two goals at 5:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Basil Reynolds picked up the assist. Roberts' next tally made the score 6-5 Ontario Avalanche with 1:54 left in the third period. Luke Rendino provided the assist.

Ontario Avalanche made Valencia Flyers' goalies to work without much rest, racking up 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Mark Becica made 14 stops and Jake Ireland made 10. Ontario Avalanche managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Ontario Avalanche additionally got points from Rendino, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Calle Hallberg, who also tallied one goal and two assists.
