Idaho Junior Steelheads squeaks by Ogden Mustangs, 6-4

The game between Idaho Junior Steelheads and Ogden Mustangs was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Idaho Junior Steelheads emerged with a 6-4 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jan Blasko at 16:37 of the second period.

Blasko was all over the ice for Idaho Junior Steelheads, as he tallied two goals in the win.

Idaho Junior Steelheads put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ogden Mustangs to score on any of its four power plays. Idaho Junior Steelheads' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Idaho Junior Steelheads gives up 1.6 goal per game.

Idaho Junior Steelheads also had goals scored by Philip Wong, who had two and Randy Patzner and Victor Carlsson, who each put in one. In addition, Idaho Junior Steelheads received assists from Kyle TenEyck, who had two and Oskar Af Bjur, Victor Ivarsson, Dak Dice, Macky Power, and Dimitris Jones, who each chipped in one.

Ogden Mustangs was helped by Schuyler Seyfert, who racked up one goal. Seyfert scored 6:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Idaho Junior Steelheads. Martin Hallin provided the assist. Craig Moore also scored for Ogden Mustangs. More assists for Ogden Mustangs came via David Clements, Dusty Watt, and Brody Decker, who contributed one a piece and Simon Teodorsson and Sean Haltam, who each chipped in two.

Idaho Junior Steelheads' Danny Kowalski stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Idaho Junior Steelheads incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Connor Webb recorded 23 saves for Ogden Mustangs. Ogden Mustangs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
