Colorado Eagles and Arizona Red Hawks were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Colorado Eagles made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Lance Pennington's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.
