Valencia Flyers falls to Lake Tahoe Blue in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Lake Tahoe Blue's Sebastian Forslund scored 52 seconds into overtime to beat Valencia Flyers, 5-4 (OT).

Valencia Flyers could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. Lake Tahoe Blue made the score 4-2 on a goal by Forslund at 10:22 in the third period. Valencia Flyers got to within 4-3 on a power play goal by Austin Ehrlich at 15:27 in the third period.

Lake Tahoe Blue additionally got points from Edgars Homjakovs, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Nick Anderson, who also tallied one goal and two assists. In addition, Lake Tahoe Blue received assists from Kyle Blondin, who had two and Jonas Gronlund and Jonathon Robinson, who contributed one a piece.

Valencia Flyers' offense rang up 34 shots on Lake Tahoe Blue's net.

Valencia Flyers was led by Zach Paxman, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Paxman scored the first of his two goals at 3:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Valencia Flyers. More assists for Valencia Flyers came via Luc Whyte, who had two and Jakob Kranabetter and Chase Thesman, who each chipped in one.

Jakub Novotny rejected 30 shots on goal for Lake Tahoe Blue. Lake Tahoe Blue incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Mark Becica recorded 25 saves for Valencia Flyers. Valencia Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
