Texas holds on for 4-3 win against Dallas Ice JetsNYTX Arena Sat, Nov 09, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Dallas Ice Jets tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Texas held on for a 4-3 victory. Texas took a 4-0 lead during the third period, only to have Dallas Ice Jets storm back on a Ondrej Valo goal 19:12 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Texas got the win thanks to a great game by Cody Letsinger, who had one goal and two assists. Letsinger scored 16:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Texas. Colin Edwards assisted on the tally. Texas forced Dallas Ice Jets goalie Tyler Hough to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Texas additionally got points from Austin Murray, who also had one goal and one assist and Miguel Caron, who also registered one goal and one assist. Texas also got a goal from Landyn Howze as well. Other players who recorded assists for Texas were Viktor Brask and Jesse Foskey, who each chipped in one. Dallas Ice Jets' offense rang up 38 shots on Texas' net. Dallas Ice Jets could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game. Dallas Ice Jets was helped by Dmitry Kuznetsov, who racked up one goal. Kuznetsov scored on the power play 15:38 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Texas. Dallas Ice Jets had gotten the advantage when Texas' Brask was sent off for holding. Johnny Henson provided the assist. Scott Folden also scored for Dallas Ice Jets.
