Long Beach Bombers' Kotkov deadly on offense in 3-1 win against Dallas Snipers

Konstantin Kotkov had two goals to lead Long Beach Bombers to a 3-1 victory over Dallas Snipers.

Kotkov scored on the power play at 9:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Long Beach Bombers and again while on the power play 18:32 into the second to make the score 3-1 Long Beach Bombers.

Dallas Snipers' power play was ineffective against Long Beach Bombers' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Long Beach Bombers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Long Beach Bombers forced Dallas Snipers goalie Aleksandrs Bebriss-Fedotovs to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Long Beach Bombers also got points from Marcus Rhodin, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Long Beach Bombers received assists from Filip Martinec, who had two and Tomas Nemeth, who had three.

Dallas Snipers did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Dallas Snipers averages 4.6 goals per game. Dallas Snipers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 74 minutes in penalties during the game.

Dallas Snipers was led by Trent Williams, who scored the team's only goal. Williams scored 7:12 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Emil Melin assisted on the tally.

Long Beach Bombers' Talon Miller stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Long Beach Bombers incurred 68 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Long Beach Bombers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Martinec was ejected from the game. Bebriss-Fedotovs rejected 40 shots on goal for Dallas Snipers. For Dallas Snipers, Williams was ejected from the game.
