xBoulder Bison rips xColorado Eagles, 7-3

xBoulder Bison had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over xColorado Eagles.

Chris Lupinski was all over the ice for xBoulder Bison, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Lupinski scored 51 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 xBoulder Bison. Hunter Behrens provided the assist.

xBoulder Bison kept xColorado Eagles' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tage Rustgi made 31 saves on 38 shots. xBoulder Bison bested its season scoring average. xBoulder Bison has scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

xBoulder Bison also got points from Matt Hefter, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Kevin Behrens, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Chad Lopez, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for xBoulder Bison included Joe Marchese, Charles Joly, and Seth Ensor, who each put in one. In addition, xBoulder Bison received assists from Christian Ramirez, who had one and Tanner West, who had two.

xColorado Eagles' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three xBoulder Bison power plays.

xColorado Eagles was helped by Charlie Bidgood, who had one goal. Bidgood scored 19:47 into the second period to make the score 4-2 xBoulder Bison. xColorado Eagles additionally got points from Nick Davidson, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lance Pennington also scored for xColorado Eagles. More assists for xColorado Eagles came via Tanner Ulland, who had one.

Colin Champine made 23 saves for xBoulder Bison on 26 shots. xBoulder Bison ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. xColorado Eagles totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play.
