The xStrathroy Rockets pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the xChatham Maroons on a clutch goal by Brett Dalton.

xStrathroy overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rockets was down 4-2 after a goal by xChatham's Adam Arseneault at 25 seconds in the third period. xStrathroy tied things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Chase Thornton at 17:52 in the third period.

Dalton was all over the ice for the Rockets, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Dalton scored the first of his two goals at 4:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 xStrathroy. Wes Baker assisted on the tally. Dalton's next tally made the score 5-4 xStrathroy with 17:46 left in overtime. Baker picked up the assist.

xStrathroy's offense rang up 34 shots on the Maroons' net.

xStrathroy also had goals scored by Tyler Duarte and Tyler Kettler, who each put in one. In addition, xStrathroy received assists from Shawn Grogan, Matt Laberge, Ryan Field, Sam Vokes, Nick Boyer, and Dan Chapman, who each chipped in one.

xChatham forced the Rockets goalie Tynan Lauziere to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The Maroons got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

xChatham was led by Michael Verboom, who finished with one goal and two assists. Verboom scored 6:45 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Kyle Brothers provided the assist. xChatham additionally got points from Arseneault, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for xChatham included Connor McKinnon and Nate Pietens, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for xChatham were Brayden Hopkins, who had one.

xStrathroy's Lauziere stopped 37 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Rockets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brendan Johnston rejected 29 shots on goal for the Maroons. xChatham incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
