Behind a great game by Todd Robinson, who had two goals, the Tulsa Oilers defeated the Wichita Thunder, 5-2.

Robinson's tallies came at 4:42 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and 12:02 into the third to make the score 3-2 Tulsa.

Tulsa stifled Wichita's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Oilers relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Robinson, Adam Pleskach and Matthew Larke took 15 of the team's 26 shots.

Tulsa also got points from Larke, who also had two goals and two assists. Blair Macaulay also scored for Tulsa. More assists for Tulsa came via Michel Beausoleil, who had three and Nathan Lutz, Ryan Menei, Ben Gordon, and Drew Fisher, who contributed one each.

With 28 shots on target during the contest, the Thunder exceeded the 23.4 shots they average per game this year.

Wichita was helped by RG Flath, who finished with one goal. Flath scored 17:20 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Matt Summers picked up the assist. Wichita also got a goal from Ian Lowe as well. In addition, Wichita received assists from Jon Booras, who had one and Tomas Klempa, who had two.

Shane Madolora recorded 26 saves for Tulsa. The Oilers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Thunder's David Brown stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Wichita incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
