The Missouri Mavericks' Sebastien Thinel had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 8-0 win over the St. Charles Chill.

Thinel scored at 10:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Missouri and again while 46 seconds into the third to make the score 6-0 Missouri.

Missouri excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Mavericks' defensive play was more effective than usual against St. Charles. Missouri averages 2.7 goals allowed per game. The Mavericks outdid their season average for goals scored. Missouri averages 3.7 goals per game.

Missouri also got points from Andrew Courtney, who also racked up three goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Colten Hayes, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Missouri included Tyler Currier and Colt King, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Missouri were Eric Castonguay, who had three, Mike Ramsay, who had four, and Dave Pszenyczny, Mathieu Gagnon, and Obi Aduba, who contributed one each.

The Chill could not produce up to their normal offensive output. St. Charles averages 2.4 goals per game. The 21 shots that the Chill put on net surpassed St. Charles' average of 16.2 shots per game this season.

The Chill were led by Charles Lachance, who took five shots.

Erno Suomalainen made 21 saves for the Mavericks on 21 shots. Missouri totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-2 on the power play. St. Charles' starting goalie, Linus Lundin, made 17 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Robert Moss, who stopped three shots. The Chill ended with 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors.
