Rapid City downs Arizona in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Matthew Larke gave Rapid City a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Arizona Sundogs when he scored 3:42 into the extra period.

Arizona was stymied by Rapid City netminder Tim Boron, who stopped 39 shots during the victory. The solid play of Boron will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.45.

Rapid City was led by Larke, who tallied one goal.

Rapid City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Arizona power plays. Rapid City forced the Sundogs goalie Andrew Engelage to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Rapid City additionally got points from Konrad Reeder, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Rapid City came via Riley Weselowski, Winston Day Chief, and Brett Kostolansky, who contributed one a piece.

Arizona stifled Rapid City's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Sundogs relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Bryan Cameron, Johan Ryd and Alex Tuckerman took 23 of the team's 40 shots.

Arizona was led by Kevin Baker, who scored the team's only goal. Baker scored 19:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Arizona. Cameron provided the assist.

Rapid City incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Andrew Engelage made 29 saves for the Sundogs on 31 shots. Arizona incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
