Gordon nets hat trick, leads Tulsa to 4-3 win over Quad City

Ben Gordon netted a hat trick to lead the Tulsa Oilers over the Quad City Mallards, 4-3.

Gordon got on the scoresheet 4:39 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:04 into the second and at 10:41 into the second.

Tulsa averages 24.1 shots on goal per game, but only sent 17 pucks on net against Quad City.

Tulsa additionally got points from Adam Pleskach, who also racked up one goal and two assists. More assists for Tulsa came via Ryan Menei, who had three and Nathan Lutz and Scott Macaulay, who each chipped in one.

The Mallards were helped by Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel, who tallied one goal. Dieude-Fauvel scored 5:56 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tulsa. Gabriel Levesque provided the assist. Quad City also had goals scored by Jeff Lee and Justin Fox, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Quad City were Michael Monfredo, Nicholas Rioux, Vladimir Nikiforov, Chris Greene, and Nick Grasso, who contributed one a piece.

Brad Fogal made 21 saves for the Oilers on 24 shots. Tulsa incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Thomas Heemskerk rejected 13 shots on goal for Quad City. The Mallards incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
