Calin Wild netted the deciding goal for the Brampton Beast in the shootout as Beast prevailed over the St. Charles Chill, 4-3 (2-1 SO).

The shootout lasted for 12 attempts between the teams. St. Charles got a shootout goal from Travis Ouellette. Brampton's other shootout goal was scored by Andrew Fournier.

The 31 shots that the Beast put on net surpassed Brampton's average of 25.1 shots per game this season.

The Beast were helped by Matt Caruana, who registered one goal. Caruana scored 9:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brampton. Jason Pitton provided the assist. Brampton also had goals scored by Dan Milan and Tylor Michel, who scored one goal each. More assists for Brampton came via Fournier, Michael MacIsaac, Scott Howes, and Brett Smith, who each chipped in one.

By firing 24 shots on goal, the Chill exceeded the 20.5 shots they average per game this year.

St. Charles was helped by Martin Hlinka, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hlinka scored on the power play 10:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. An elbowing penalty on Howes had put the Chill on the power play. Nicklas Lindberg picked up the assist. St. Charles also got points from Lindberg, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. St. Charles also got a goal from Justin Levac as well. In addition, St. Charles received assists from Dan Weiss, Nick Schneider, John Snowden, and Charles Lachance, who contributed one a piece.

Grant Rollheiser rejected 21 shots on goal for Brampton. The Beast incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Linus Lundin recorded 27 saves for St. Charles. The Chill incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
