Troy Schwab netted a hat trick to lead the Denver Cutthroats over Rapid City, 6-4.

Schwab's first goal came 9:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:31 into the first and at 19:21 into the third.

Denver led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Cutthroats' Garett Bembridge's scored on the power play at 10:33 in the second period to put Denver up 5-2.

The Cutthroats racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and two majors for 38 minutes in penalty time. Denver had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game.
