Tulsa beats Quad City 5-2 as Pleskach gets hat trick

A hat trick by Adam Pleskach was the highlight in Oilers' 5-2 win against the Quad City Mallards.

Pleskach got on the scoresheet 6:50 into the second period. He then added goals at 19:46 into the second and at 2:17 into the third.

Quad City's power play was ineffective against the Tulsa Oilers' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Tulsa excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. By firing 32 shots on goal, the Oilers exceeded the 28.8 shots they average per game this year.

Tulsa additionally got points from Kyle Bochek, who also registered one goal and one assist. Tulsa also got a goal from Michel Beausoleil as well. Other players who recorded assists for Tulsa were Macaulay Macaulay, Todd Robinson, Drew Fisher, and B Macaulay, who contributed one a piece and Ben Gordon and Ryan Cramer, who each chipped in two.

The Mallards were below their usual level of shot production, taking 25 shots compared to the 32.5 Quad City averages.

The Mallards were helped by Gabriel Levesque, who tallied one goal. Levesque scored 8:22 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Gergo Nagy provided the assist. Darren McMillan also scored for Quad City.

Shane Madolora recorded 23 saves for Tulsa. The Oilers totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-1 on the power play. Quad City's Ty Rimmer stopped 27 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Mallards ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major.
