The Missouri Mavericks climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the St. Charles Chill, 5-4. Missouri never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Mavericks fell behind 4-2 after a goal by St. Charles' Tony DeHart at 20 seconds in the third period. Missouri tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Eric Castonguay at 17:33 in the third period. The Mavericks netted the game winner at 19:50 in the third period on a goal by Castonguay. Missouri was led by Evan Vossen, who finished with one goal. The Mavericks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. With 31 shots on target during the contest, Missouri exceeded the 27.2 shots it averages per game this year.
