The St. Charles Chill almost clawed their way back from a four-goal deficit, but the Tulsa Oilers managed to pull out a 6-4 win in the end.

Tulsa led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Oilers' Adam Pleskach's scored at 6:46 in the second period to put Tulsa up 4-0.

Pleskach and Todd Robinson provided the spark for the Oilers, combining for three goals and three assists. Pleskach finished with two goals and one assist and Robinson also notched one goal and two assists.

Tulsa surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Oilers average 3.0 goals per contest. Tulsa relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Pleskach, Michel Beausoleil and Brandon Coccimiglio took 20 of the team's 38 shots.

Tulsa additionally got points from Ben Gordon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Robinson, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. B Macaulay also scored for Tulsa. Other players who recorded assists for Tulsa were Craig Cescon, who had one and Nathan Lutz, Macaulay, and Kyle Bochek, who contributed two a piece.

St. Charles racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with five minors and two majors for 30 minutes in penalty time. The Chill had been averaging 27.0 minutes in penalties per game. St. Charles relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Phil Buschbacher, Kyle Kraemer and Anthony Perdicaro took 15 of the team's 20 shots.

In addition, St. Charles received assists from Tony DeHart and Steve Makway, who each chipped in one and Kyle OKane and Jordan Fox, who contributed two a piece.

Shane Madolora recorded 16 saves for the Oilers. Tulsa totaled 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Mathieu Corbiel made 14 saves before being replaced by Robert Moss, who took the loss and made 18 saves. The Chill registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For St. Charles, Tyler Barr was ejected from the game.
