Shawville Pontiacs tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Gatineau Mustangs held on for a 5-3 victory. Gatineau Mustangs made the score 5-2 on a goal by Dominique Brassard at 12:50 in the third period, and Shawville Pontiacs got as close as 5-3 when Anthony Rea scored 16:09 into the third period. Gatineau Mustangs got the win on the strength of a great game by Vincent Proulx, who had two goals and one assist.
