Almonte Thunder pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over Perth Blue Wings on a clutch goal by Luke Martin.

Almonte Thunder got the win thanks to a great game by Martin, who had two goals and one assist. Martin scored the first of his two goals at 13:01 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Almonte Thunder. Brock Saunders provided the assist. Martin's next tally made the score 4-3 Almonte Thunder with 19:09 left in overtime. Andrew Rowbotham picked up the assist.

Perth Blue Wings was unable to stop Almonte Thunder from sending pucks towards the net, and Almonte Thunder eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Almonte Thunder also got a goal from Cameron Cornwall as well. More assists for Almonte Thunder came via Tyler McKechnie, Terry Mallon, and Kyle Weedmark, who each chipped in one.

Perth Blue Wings' offense rang up 36 shots on Almonte Thunder's net.

Perth Blue Wings was helped by Jaren Burke, who finished with two goals. Burke scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Perth Blue Wings earned a power play opportunity when Kane Abbis-Mills was put in the box for holding. Steven Plescia provided the assist. Burke's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 11:34 left in the third period. Kyle Dowdall assisted on the tally. Perth Blue Wings also got points from Alex Vala, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
