:Casselman blows out Clarence Beavers, 5-2

:Casselman had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over Clarence Beavers.

:Casselman got the win on the strength of a great game by Taylor Widenmaier, who had one goal and two assists. Widenmaier scored 10:59 into the first period to make the score 2-0 :Casselman. Alec MacKenzie picked up the assist.

:Casselman pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 9:25 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

:Casselman's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Clarence Beavers power plays. :Casselman kept Clarence Beavers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Mclaughlin made 36 saves on 41 shots.

:Casselman additionally got points from Devin Desnoyers, who also finished with one goal and one assist. :Casselman also got a goal from Sébastien Plante as well. In addition, :Casselman received assists from Ethan Wensink, Samuel Gosselin, Joel Adam, and Yannik Bertrand, who each chipped in one.

Clarence Beavers did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Clarence Beavers puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. Clarence Beavers forced :Casselman goalie Jean-Philippe Brais to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

:Casselman's Brais stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. :Casselman registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For :Casselman, Plante and Justin Lafleur were ejected from the contest. Clarence Beavers ended with 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and two majors. Team's Jonathan Dutrisac and Sébastien Dion were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
