Lindsay nets hat trick, leads Wallaceburg to 5-2 win over AmherstburgWallaceburg Memorial Arena Wed, Dec 11, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Justin Lindsay lifted the Wallaceburg Lakers to a 5-2 victory with a hat trick against the Amherstburg Admirals. Lindsay notched his first tally 26 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 10:24 into the first and at 17:34 into the first.Wallaceburg forced Amherstburg's goaltenders to work in net, getting 48 shots and forcing 43 saves. Arren Romeril made 26 stops and Chris Wallace made 17. The Lakers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Admirals to score on any of their three power plays. Wallaceburg surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Lakers have scored at the pace of 2.6 goals per game during the current campaign. Wallaceburg additionally got points from Lucais Meyskens, who also registered one goal and two assists. Wallaceburg also got a goal from Ryan Gruszka as well. Amherstburg's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Admirals finished with 36 penalty minutes. In addition, Amherstburg received assists from Josh Laframboise, Dan Matoski, and Chad Copeland, who contributed one a piece. Joel Sowinski recorded 34 saves for the Lakers. Wallaceburg incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
