Essex downs Wheatley, 2-1

Scott Bromley tallied one point to lead the Essex 73s to a 2-1 victory over the Wheatley Sharks.

Essex's offense operated below it season average. The 73s put an average of 6.4 pucks into the net per game.

Essex additionally got points from Daniel McIntyre, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Essex came via Zoran Popel, who had one and Brett Clarke, who had two.

Wheatley managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. The Sharks ended up below its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. Wheatley could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Sharks average 5.0 goals per game.
