The Amherstburg Admirals tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Dresden Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Dresden made the score 3-1 on a goal by Derek Daly at 8:26 in the third period, and Amherstburg got as close as 3-2 when Steven Spada scored 9:50 into the third period.

The Admirals' power play was ineffective against the Kings' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.
