The Amherstburg Admirals tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Dresden Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. Dresden made the score 3-1 on a goal by Derek Daly at 8:26 in the third period, and Amherstburg got as close as 3-2 when Steven Spada scored 9:50 into the third period. The Admirals' power play was ineffective against the Kings' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Dresden could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Dresden additionally got points from Taylor Sisson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alex Ritchie also scored for Dresden. In addition, Dresden received assists from Macks Holmes, who had two and Kevin Ritzer and Dillon Liberty, who contributed one a piece.
