The Clarington Eagles allowed the Lakefield Chiefs to net three goals during the second period and fell, 6-2.

Shawn Mackie and Eric Shewell provided the spark for Lakefield, combining for three goals and two assists. Mackie registered two goals and one assist and Shewell also notched two goals and one assist.

The Chiefs forced Clarington goalie Connor Visca to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Lakefield additionally got points from Shewell, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Derek Manley also scored for Lakefield. More assists for Lakefield came via Ryan Anderson, Gregory Jesse, Jordan Walsh, Devin Gilbert, and Nathan Larson, who each chipped in one.

The Eagles were led by Mitchell Burghardt APM, who racked up one goal and one assist. Burghardt APM scored 15:24 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Lakefield. The Eagles incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Clarington ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mitchell Marchbank was ejected from the game.
