Uxbridge falls to Little Britain in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Little Britain Merchants pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Uxbridge Bruins on a clutch goal by Kurtis Moore.

Little Britain overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Merchants trailed 2-0 after a power play goal by Uxbridge's Carter Vahey at 6:49 in the first period. Little Britain tied things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Jarett Smith at 9:41 in the third period.

The Bruins' 10 penalties came back to haunt them, as Uxbridge let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

The Merchants found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Little Britain averages 2.9 goals per game. The Merchants struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Bruins to score four power play goals on seven chances.

Little Britain additionally got points from Aidan Renouf, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Little Britain included Alex Moore and Jesse Beers, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Little Britain were Terry Snodden, who had three and Kyle ODonnell, Ben Marquis, and Cash Cormier, who contributed one a piece.

Uxbridge's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

More assists for Uxbridge came via Connor Miller, who had two and Matthew Allen, Marco Mastrangelo, and Connor Beck, who each chipped in one.

Little Britain incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. The Bruins incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
