yKingston survives Lindsay comeback, wins 4-2

The Lindsay Muskies almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the yKingston Voyageurs managed to pull out a 4-2 win in the end.

yKingston led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Voyageurs' Adam Brady's scored at 8:16 in the first period to put yKingston up 3-0.

The Voyageurs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. yKingston ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Voyageurs kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mathew Robson made 48 saves on 52 shots.

yKingston was helped by Brody Heleno, who racked up one goal. Heleno scored 1:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 yKingston. Cole Bolton provided the assist. yKingston also got points from Brady, who also had one goal and one assist and Alex Tonge, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Adam Moodie also scored for yKingston. In addition, yKingston received assists from Brett Seney, who had two and Michael Stevens, Mason Nowak, and Wyatt Cota, who each chipped in one.

The Voyageurs were unable to stop the Muskies from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindsay eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

The Muskies were helped by Joseph Vocino, who finished with one goal. Vocino scored 4:00 into the third period to make the score 3-1 yKingston. James Sterne picked up the assist. Lindsay also got a goal from Vince Herlihey as well. More assists for Lindsay came via Austin Brown and Troy Oakley, who contributed one a piece.

Sam Tanguay made 30 saves for yKingston on 32 shots. The Voyageurs registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. Lindsay avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays.
