The Oakville Blades pulled out a 7-6 (OT) overtime victory over the Burlington Cougars on a clutch goal by Mark Bzowey.

Although Oakville was up by as many as three goals in the third period, Burlington kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Cougars pulled to within 6-5 on a goal by Tyler Lepore at 17:58 in the third period.

Daniel Jelic had one goal and two assists to lead the Blades. Jelic scored 5:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kamil Tkaczuk provided the assist.

Oakville's offense rang up 46 shots on Burlington's net. The Blades' goal total was higher than their season average. Oakville averages 3.0 goals per game. The Blades' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Cougars' power play unit.
