Italiano's hat trick boosts xSt. Michaels over Toronto, 6-2

A hat trick by David Italiano was the highlight in Buzzers' 6-2 win against the Toronto Junior Canadiens.

Italiano's first goal came 1:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:39 into the first and at 18:05 into the first.

The xSt. Michaels Buzzers forced Toronto's goalies to work all game long, finishing with 45 shots and forcing 39 saves. Michael Bullion made 32 stops and Daniel Lopapa made seven. xSt. Michaels stifled the Junior Canadiens' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Buzzers' goal total was higher than their season average. xSt. Michaels averages 3.5 goals per game.

xSt. Michaels also got points from Thomas Beretta, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Matt Alvaro, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Bron Loiselle, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, xSt. Michaels received assists from Jake Evans, who had five and Jake Clements and Marco Ferraro, who contributed one a piece.

Toronto's offense rang up 37 shots on the Buzzers' net.

The Junior Canadiens were helped by Anthony Repaci, who racked up one goal. Repaci scored 6:40 into the first period to make the score 2-1 xSt. Michaels. Ryan MacSpadyen assisted on the tally. Toronto also got a goal from Aaron Spivak as well.

xSt. Michaels' George Argiropoulos stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Buzzers totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. xSt. Michaels ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Clements was ejected from the game. Toronto totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-4 on the power play. For the Junior Canadiens, Aaron Thow was ejected from the game.
