The xPickering Panthers tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the xTrenton Golden Hawks held on for a 6-4 victory.

xTrenton took a 6-2 lead during the third period, only to have xPickering storm back on a Michael Walker goal 17:48 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The Golden Hawks struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Panthers to score two power play goals on three chances. The defensemen of xTrenton were also effective in xPickering's zone, and came away with two goals.

The Golden Hawks were helped by Brady Wiffen, who tallied one goal. Wiffen scored 5:52 into the second period to make the score 2-1 xTrenton. Mathew Thompson assisted on the tally. xTrenton also got points from Tyler Donaldson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for xTrenton included Brett Seldon, who had two and Jason Zaleski and Ryan Kinsella, who scored one goal each. More assists for xTrenton came via Shaquille Hickey, who had two and Michael Siddall, Fabrizio Ricci, Dylan Savory, Danny Liscio, Zach de Concilys, and Nick Santoro, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers forced xTrenton goalie Connor Hughes to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. xPickering's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

The Panthers were helped by Michael Giacometti, who finished with one goal. Giacometti scored 18:14 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Riley Devine provided the assist. xPickering additionally got points from Robert Cammalleri, who also had one goal and one assist. Mason Evans also scored for xPickering. In addition, xPickering received assists from Tanner Shaw and Ian Chen, who contributed one a piece and Mike Nedoszytko and Brodie Tutton, who each chipped in two.

Hughes rejected 27 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. xTrenton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Greg Zupan recorded 20 saves for xPickering. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
