xSt. Michaels blows out Orangeville, 8-3

The xSt. Michaels Buzzers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-3 win over the Orangeville Flyers.

xSt. Michaels kept Orangeville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Wyatt Pickrell made 54 saves on 62 shots. The Buzzers outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, xSt. Michaels averages 3.5 goals per contest.

The Buzzers were led by Bron Loiselle, who racked up two goals and two assists. Loiselle scored the first of his two goals at 7:15 into the first period to make the score 2-2. David Italiano assisted on the tally. Loiselle's next tally made the score 6-3 xSt. Michaels with 13:35 left in the third period. Jake Evans picked up the assist. xSt. Michaels also got points from Matt Alvaro, who also had one goal and two assists and Evans, who also tallied one goal and two assists. xSt. Michaels also had goals scored by Thomas Beretta, who had two and Ian Edmondson and Ashur Elliot, who scored one goal each. More assists for xSt. Michaels came via Peter Angelopoulos, who had one and Luca Doctor, Joseph Berton, and CJ Shugart, who each chipped in two.

The Flyers were led by Scott Goodman, who registered one goal and one assist. Goodman scored 5:44 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Devon Gillham provided the assist. Orangeville additionally got points from Gillham, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Orangeville also got a goal from Emmerson Small as well. Other players who recorded assists for Orangeville were Ryan Anton, Matt Mercer, and Lucas Smilsky, who contributed one a piece.

xSt. Michaels' Victor Adamo stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Buzzers totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. For xSt. Michaels, Matt Pepler was ejected from the game. Orangeville totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Flyers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Thanvir Bandesha was ejected from the game.
