Lindsay rides Francey to victory over Hamilton, 6-1

Branden Francey had a standout game with 25 saves, and the Lindsay Muskies beat the Hamilton Red Wings 6-1.

Lindsay was paced by Jake Ryan, who finished with one goal and one assist. Ryan scored 14:14 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Lindsay. Austin Brown picked up the assist.

The Muskies managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Lindsay finished below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Muskies forced Hamilton goalie Mark Sinclair to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Lindsay outdid its season average for goals scored. The Muskies have scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Lindsay additionally got points from Vince Herlihey, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Lindsay included James Sterne, Mathew Lewis, Brock Spear, and Joseph Vocino, who each put in one. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Logan DeNoble, who had two and Adrian Vendrasco, Austin Eastman, Keegan Cairns, Stefan Von Egelbrechten, and Peter Barral, who contributed one a piece.

The Red Wings were led by Liam Bird, who scored the team's only goal. Bird scored 1:42 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Lindsay. Adam Burnett provided the assist.

Lindsay registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Sinclair recorded 30 saves for Hamilton. The Red Wings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
